If i buy 7990, would 7990 used in PCI-E 3.0 be the same on performance in games as one 7990 on PCI-E 2.0 motherboard?
Thinking in eyefinity resolution 5760x1080.
Or i must buy a new motherboard with pci-E 3.0 with new 7990?

My Comp:
Motherboard: Asrock P67 Extreme 4, PCI 2.0
Procc: i5 2500k
GPU: Sapphire HD 6990
RAM: DDR3 12GB Ram
PSU: 950W TX
Monitors: 3 x 24'' Acer G245H

Thanks in advance!

To avoid a bottle neck, You could upgrade, but since you're using one card, you'll be getting x8 x8 with the two gpus. You should have a problem with you're current pci-e 2.0 setup.

Because the comparison here is honestly:

2.0 x8 x8 Versus 2.0 x16 x16 (same as 3.0 x8 x8).

And if find charts of x8 versus x16, it's not that different.
