Plugin has been updated for version v.1.7.x.x
You can grab it from this Helifax's Plugins for WideScreen Fixer Page and use simply overwrite the one in WideScreen Fixer.

Does anyone know if Dawngaurd breaks these fixes? I am assuming it would. I haven't been able to play Skyrim for a while but I was thinking about downloading it and trying it out.

Yes Dawngaurd works - but I personally have issues with my old save games not working, but this appears to be fairly common.

Care to be a little more verbose as to what it is actually doing?

Did you edit SkyrimPrefs.ini to reflect the proper resolution your wishing to run it at?
