City of Heroes and City of Villains is a comic book themed MMO from Cryptic Studios and NC Soft. Heroes and Villains allows the player to play opposite sides of the conflict inside the setting of Liberty City.

==Version==
City of Heroes and City of Villains both utilize the same game client. The client is updated periodically, particularly through the relesae of free updates called "Issues" (in keeping with the Comic Book theme). This is current as of Issue 8.

==Method==
The widescreen support is native. The game detects every available resolution in Windows, including custom resolutions.

==Screen change==
The screen change is Vert-. It is difficult to get a consistent shot from the same POV, as the game requires a restart to change resolutions. It also resets the camera dolly on restart. The closest I could get is to place the bottom screen edge at the character's feet.

City of Heroes, 4:3, 1600x1200, auto FOV, resized to 480px high

City of Heroes, 16:9, 1920x1080, auto FOV, resized to 480px high

City of Villains, 4:3, 1600x1200, auto FOV, resized to 480px high

City of Villains, 16:10, 1920x1200, auto FOV, resized to 480px high

==Supported resolutions==
List of widescreen resolutions the game successfully ran at: 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x800, 1440x900, 1680x1050, 1920x1080, 1920x1200, 2560x1600
Faux TH2Go: 2560x640, 2560x682, 2560x853, 2560x1280

==Singleplayer anomalies==
Every other screen in the game is stretched: character creation, inventory, loading, character ID card. Notice circles in the shots below are scretched

Character Creation

Character ID

==Multiplayer support==
The game is an MMO, thus it is all multiplayer

==Aspect ratio support==
The game scales the aspect ratio consistently, decreasing the vertical FOV from 4:3 > 16:10 > 16:9

City of Heroes, 4:3, 1600x1200, auto FOV, resized to 480px high

City of Heroes, 16:10, 1920x1200, auto FOV, resized to 480px high

City of Heroes, 16:9, 1920x1080, auto FOV, resized to 480px high

==HUD stretch==
The HUD does not scretch, and is fully customizable in the game.

==Cut-scenes==
There are no cut-scenes

==Grading==
Calculated grade: C+
Potential grade: C+

Major unresolved issues: None
Minor unresolved issues: None

Summary of widescreen-related flaws: Vert-, Stretched menus

Cranky's coverage estimate: 100%

Better double-check those screenshots. I could swear I've seen them before.

I goofed trying to add the DDO report. Copied and pasted into the wrong editing window. Fixed.
