Hi all. Been a while since I posted so I thought I would give a qucik update. Had a few issues with my Dell 3007wfp that have now been rectified by Dell. Have to say they have good support, even though it may be a little difficult to communicate with them.

Anyway I am now playing Gothic 3 , it's a great rpg and plays a lot like Oblivion.

Gothic 3: Works out of the box at 2560X1600 with full widescreen ie extra view rarther than strech.

Scarface: Also works with 2560x1600 support. All you have to do is edit the registry with the soloution from this forum in confirmed soloution area.

Just Cause: Same as above . You can get 2560x1600 by using that nifty little utility available at this forum from the confirmed solotion page.

Also I noticed that Hitman: Blood Money wasn't included in the update. It does work at 2560x1600

Warhammer Dawn of War: Dark Crusade expansion

Had the 2560x1600 resolution listed and I ran it fine.

Neverwinter Nights 2 also has native 2560x1600 resolution.

Until now, i can't run Splinter Cell Double Agent at 2560x1600. The maximum tested resolution that worked is 1920x1200. Can anyone confirm this?

Hi everyone.

I just tested Splinter Cell Double agent on my PC and can confirm that 2560x1600 works, and looks absolutely beautiful. Jaw dropping. My Pc struggles a bit though as I am playing with HDR+4xAA, +16xHQAF, soft shadows, high quality textures, hardware mapping shadows etc etc. Yes HDR and AA works aswell on my X1900 setup. I am fully patched to v1.01.

Splinter Cell: Double Agent = works fine with 2560x1600, but you will need a 512mb gpu to play it.

Edit I have discovered something very strange about Double Agents's 2560x1600 support, and it will explain why everyone thought that it doesn't support it. In fact I am the only person who has actually played Double Agent in 2560x1600out of all the folks with the game and a 2560x1600 panel.

There is a pretty demanding stipulation if you want to play at 2560x1600. A stipulation that will make the game impossible to play for everyone including me.

To play at 2560x1600 every setting must be switched on and maxed out , and you have to have 4xAA on along with 16xAF. Forcing any setting from the control panel will stop the game form playing at 2560x1600 as will changing any ingame setting from max or using no AA or AF.

I discovered this pretty soon after changing my AA from 4 to 2 as I found certain sections in the game to slow for comfort . Unfortunatley this means I can not play the game at 2560x1600 as max settings and HDR and 4xAA and 16xAF is just to demanding to be used all the time as there are mant places in the game where those settings cause the frame rates to go south.

As the game doesn't support dual gpu or the 8 series gpu there will be noone who will be able to use 2560x1600 and be able to enjoy the game.

Hopefully they will either fix this bug or allow crossfire/sli support or at least allow the 8800gtx to play the game.
