I'm currently using a Dell U2410 and was thinking about going eyefinity and was wondering how this setup would work? I know 3xU2410 would be ideal, but it would cost about $600 more then with two 2209wa's.

Here are my options:

1) Upgrade my current 24" U2410 to a Dell 3007wfp or 3008wfp
2) Go eyefinity and get two 22" 2209WA for side monitors
3) Go eyefinity and get two 24" U2410 for side monitors

I'm really leaning towards the two 22" side monitors because of cost, but I'm not sure how well the different resolutions would work together?

Any thoughts are welcome.

Eyefinity only works when all displays have the same native resolution. Even if that wasn;t the case, having different sized screens would look funny, and would not line up completely.

I say go for 3x u2410.

Or get a Matrox box, whihc wodl let you use different resolutions...

Do you already have an ATI 5xxx card?

I'd say go with option 3. I gamed, for the longest time, on 3 w1907's. The Lovely part? Each monitor was different, 1 had a different back light, one had a completely different panel, and I had one perfect one. That really made me rage. Identical Monitors FTW.

Thats it. I experienced multiple configurations. Last was 20"/30"/20". Now I have a 20"/24"/20" an my next change in monitors will be definitely 3x24" identical monitors. Now I'm stuck with SofthTH for Gaming and this doesn't support SLI or CF. Triplehead cries SLI and CF. :(

PS: Forget the 30" - tried it and it only makes sense if you have serious ambitions in grafics and photography. For Daily workflow its just to big. Most of the time your screen will be half empty and this is pure waste of money.
