Due to kinda being presured to sell one of my beloved Dell 3007 WFPs i now only have 1 left. I was either going to:

Sell this and purchase 2 x 28" cheapo Hans.G for the price i sold a SINGLE Dell 3007wfp http://www.lambda-tek.com/componentshop/index.pl?prodID=B87213. And use the remaining money for a new gfx card?

Or keep my remaining 3007, pair it with a couple of 20" on there side do something like this in an eyefinity setup.

What should i do?

If i decide on the 3 monitor route would you guys recommend me a size of monitor to get and the dells i should pair it with? Possibly expand on the details of using 3 monitors from a single ( is it possible to use a pair of gfx cards in crossfire for this yet? ) in an eyefinity setup.

This will be purely for gaming. Currently im looking for a new gfx card and i just purchased a nice I7 920 system with a rampage 2 mobo and 6gb of ram ( second hand ofc :) )

What do you onions think?[confused]

Having trouble matching a monitor i basically need a monitor with 1600 horizontal res with a pixel pitch of 0.25 ( matching my dell ) and it to be equal size when put into landscape mode.

The problem is the only monitors which seem to do this are older LCDs basically some 1600 x 1200 20" monitors.... :/

a 16:9 or 16:10 widescreen monitor would be the wrong size. Just that i don't think none widescreen monitors are even made anymore are they ?
What worries me though is im not sure if eyefinity allows for rotated monitors?

You sir are in a predicament. Eyefinity only allows for the same resolution to be put on each monitor. So, no matter what it's gonna stretch on you 30" and Eyefinity doesn't allow for PLP arrangements. So you are kinda screwed if you want Eyefinity.

Personally I would go ahead and Buy 2 more 30"rs. But I'm assuming that's out of your range. I've seen a couple of people use a PLP arrangement with a 5870 and SoftTH. So you could get 1200x1600 + 2560x1600 + 1200x1600 using one card that way. I'll note that if you use SoftTH, there a fewer games compatible. And it requires a lot of configuration.

Sticky with the Info: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/node/11482

If you are looking for a "No Hassle" way to go about it, you could get a 3x 26" - 28" setup, but I've only seen these with 1080p resolutions. You would lose some vertical FOV. But you would gain Horizontal Resolution. This would be easier to get working with Eyefinity.

I personally use a 3x1080p setup (at the moment i'm using a Triplehead2go so I settle with 3x1360x768 [4080x768]) I use to use a 3x16:10 setup but I don't miss the Vertical FOV, but then again I went from 19"rs to 23"rs.

I like the idea of a Soft Triple head solution. Just asked a few questions in the above thread you posted, hopefully will get this sorted soon!

Since this post ive purchased 2 x 5850s im running in crossfire and still have my 30" dell monitor, i can pickup 2 x 2007fps for reasonably cheap.

If i went for the Soft TH solution with 2 x gfx cards what problems would i encounter?
Also since the latest 10.1 from ATI is what i want to do still not possible?

I would recommend just selling your 30" and getting 3x24". However, I know that most people are really attached to their 30"s and if that be the case you could just play the waiting game and get more 30" in the future. It just depends on what your options are.
