Do not ask if anyone has a fix for a game that's not even released yet.

Piracy is not cool.

Its possible to get games before release dates and I thought this site was about providing widescreen info and related stuff, not some antipiracy outfit.

Anyway, I would like to know how to enable surround in this title too. It uses unreal engine 3 and doesnt it support surround natively? What did they manage to screw up?

Actually Unreal Engine 3 is Screwy, it's very hit and miss.

This forum is for PC game enthusiasts and PC game enthusiasts despise piracy for weakening our platform.

It's a common rule that no widescreen info should be asked for before release, ever.

Roger that. :rockout

It is now out. Bought it from *shudder* BB about 2 hours ago. Game set up recognized 5040x1050 as me desktop res, and thus was already sitting in the options.

However, once in game, the FOV is WAAAAAAYYYY too small.

Gotta feeling the fix to this may be identical to the Dragon's Age: Origins fix, as they are both Bioware and UE3 games...

This is from the Mass Effect DR thread. This is not my post.

Damn it. I actually sent Chris Priestly a message some months ago begging them to implement Hor+ or at least make it possible to change the FOV manually. He kindly replied that my request has been forwarded to the dev team.

I just found this on the official Mass Effect forum:

"Go to My Documents/Bioware (where save games and stuff are)

go into Config files

Open BioImput ini file with Notepad
locate the section [Engine.Console] and beneath it enter the line ConsoleKey=Tilde and then hit return so there is an extra space in between sections.

In game press ~ to bring up console."

So, a console, yay! Now could someone be kind enough to start digging for a command to change the FOV? I won't be getting mah Mass Effect on until June 6th so I can't do it myself.

Try "fov XX" and it should work for ME2. Expect the same problems as ME1 however.
