Most likely an obvious answer given EA's past support for widescreen... but has anyone heard if Madden 2007 will support widescreen resolutions?

I don't get why they can't include some widescreen resolutions. I mean the 360 version of course has widescreen. Does the regular xbox version have it, what with 480p support?

The 360 has the new game engine though. We are stuck with this 3 year-old one. It's time they give us PCers the next gen engine as well.

Doesn't it even have 1600 x 900? Last year's version had that, at least...

Someone stated on the EA boards to edit the madden.ini in your my documents/madden 07 Directory, which I did, and it didn't seem to work, kept bumping back to 800x600 :(

First I tried 1680x1050 (Which was dumb, the parameters in the ini max at 1600) and then I proceded to try the rest of the lower 16:10 Resolutions to no effect other than frustration..

What I ended up doing last year was running 1400x1050 so at least I got a 4:3 screen using all the vertical on my 1680x1050. Hopefully you can still do that…I had to add that custom resolution in the nVidia control panel 1st tho (then edit the madden.ini), not sure what needs to be done for ATI folks

I installed it this morning and this option was available for me. It also didn't look near as stretched as last years Madden.

I'll give it another go when I get home from work just to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
