In anticipation of NFS:Shift I've made a patch for ProStreet as it was the only good NFS before the disaster they call Undercover.

This patch only adds support for 5040 and corrects the FOV and aspect ratio (select 5040x1050 in Options>Graphics>Resolution).

The HUD is on center screen.

This is v1.0, I think v1.1 only added LAN support.

This is a NO-CD, its the only type im able to patch, patching the original exe is impossible unless a loader is made.

Just thought I'd share as this took a while to make.

This game really shines with a G25 because it supports Manual w/ Clutch.

So no 3840 support then if i understand you correctly. No worries either way because I thought this game was kinda sucky and never reinstalled it anyway after my last rebuild. Any bets on if shift will support th2g natively. I say not a chance in hades.

Actually theres good promise NFS: Shift will support th2go as theyve setup a multiplayer booth at gamescon with triplehead:

I tried adding 3840x1024 support this morning before releasing this but something strange happened with the menus and hud ending up on the side screens and the aspect ratio was incorrect.

I thought this game was crappy too, it still is, but its much more realistic than Undercover in all aspects. Would be nice to fix the other ones too, like UG2, Most wanted and Carbon... but I havent got around to it and theyre much older. Seems they just need the FOV corrected along with a resolution patch.

With ProStreet theres still some graphical issues that EA never fixed, shadows popping up and some flickering signs and trees, but its only apparent on certain tracks. In my opinion Underground 2 was the best of them all and I still play it once in a while. I really liked the Street X tracks. Especially the Parkade spiral ramp :D.

I just never spent enough time with ProStreet before and didnt want to go exploring on a single screen.

i loved most wanted. thought that was one of the funnest games ever. i would be interested in that patch for sure since the old one never really worked all that well. i dont even think i still have my most wanted disc though! rofl.

ohhhh if only you could add 1366X768 support. :(
is there a patch for pro street? u quite liked it, undercover was BS.

Any update on this? I cannot play Shift at all. When it loads, it loads on the left single monitor and the image is extremely distorted. What should I do?

Nevermind. Just needed to delete the graphics config file in documents folder. Also, if it crashes, turn off AA.

I am disappointed that this fix can not easyly be converted for 3840 resolution. :(

is prostreet better / worse than most wanted?

I was thinking of getting some of the older games. The new Shift game is nice but its not the same as the old arcade like run from the cops games. Its more sim racing with a touch of arcade.
