Alright, I've searched, read the detailed report, and checked everything I can, so posting as a last resort.

Widescreen fixer will not detect when modern warfare 3 is running. Both are updated to the latest versions, yes I'm using the official, paid for steam version. It's not generating any errors, just.. not working at all.

I'm running 3x 1920x1080, so 5760x1080 is what I'm trying to achieve, in eyefinity.

If there's any info I can post to help, let me know. This is the first time I've had to look for help with widescreen fixer, so I don't know what would be of use.

Thanks for everyone's time, and so sorry if I missed a thread on this, I dug pretty deep and didn't find anything.

In my past..........i need to delete all installed versions of Wide Screen Fixer
by installed i mean..........extracted to place on the hard drive
then i run a reg scrub ...........a good one is lexum RegScrub Vista/xp....works on win7 too
then install / extract into a diffrent folder then the last one it was in.......get my drift
its about changing where it looks for the program

add it to" non steam games" in Steam under Games Library ....everytime you updae Wide Screen fixer
and make sure you admin the .exe of widescreenfixer for win 7 and pick everybody as far as all users...in the settings

im just try to give back to the community...........

No such luck, unfortunately. Still not detecting the game's launch. Tried all the steps suggested, including launching it from within steam, nothing.

Also, I have CoD set to run at native, like mentioned on it's page. Still nothing.

Really appreciate the attempt though!

Widescreen Fixer does absolutely nothing with the registry so a registry cleaner will not do a single thing for it.

It doesn't matter where Widescreen Fixer is at on the harddrive since each new version will create its own configuration directory. These can be found at %localappdata%David_Rudie.

Widescreen Fixer will detect the game based on the running executable. You don't need to add anything to the non-steam game list or anything like that. When you run Widescreen Fixer and choose Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, it will either look to see if "iw5sp.exe" or "iw5mp.exe" are currently running (based on which game version you chose in the plugin settings). If it detects either of those running then it will update and say that the game is running. From this point you can enable/disable the fix as you see fit.

If it's not detecting the game as running then you might want to check if the .exe files are named correctly.

I sorta figured, but my registry needed a cleaning anyway

the .exes I'm running are the default steam installed ones, with the appropriate names listed.

An update, iw5sp.exe does not detect, but iw5mp.exe does. odd.

It will only detect iw5sp.exe if you configure the plugin and choose the single-player version.

Ah. well. The more you know!

This would be helpful on the game's info page.

Also, thank you kindly for your assistance, and the wonderful work you've done, I can honestly say I wouldn't have bothered investing in a triple head setup if the support wasn't there. So thanks again!

You're welcome.

I've been meaning to do a proper site for Widescreen Fixer for a long time now but I just can't bring myself to do it anymore. I put a lot of time and effort into all kinds of projects that I work on and websites are the least of my priorities. One day I'll get around to updating the site but I apologize if the site is lacking for now. My priority was just to get a simple page up where people can download it. :)

Here are my specs:
Vista 64, 8 G Ram, Asus 3x SLI Mobo running dual 9800gtx+'s in SLI mode. 3 HP 25" monitors set up and spanning all three monitors.

I have followed all the directions, even downloaded the current version as of today and cannot get WSF to work. It only displays on the center monitor and when I enable the fix the it just narrows the FOV. What am I doing wrong? Please give me a detailed list of instruction just in case I am a moron.

HELP!
