Co-op Gaming in Eyefinity: Nation Red
Welcome to the next of my video blogs where I look at co-op games and how satisfying the experience is in multi-monitor. I love co-op gaming, but not all co-op games play well in multi-monitor. My reviews cover what I needed to do to get the game working in Eyefinity, any issues that I found in the game that relate to it, and how fun I found the whole experience.
This episode reviews the game Nation Red.
In case it is helpful, I have provided a text copy of the transcript as well. Enjoy!

Hi everyone and welcome to episode 4 of my Co-op Gaming in Eyefinity blog.
Today I am reviewing the indie game Nation Red. This was free-to-play on Steam a little while ago, and it got some of us addicted. I ended up buying a 4-pack for 7 dollars fifty, so at less than 2 bucks a copy, it didn't owe us much.
The game is a top-down zombie survivial shoot-everything type of game, with cool power-ups and weapons that keep you on the look-out for awesome swag to pick up in game. None of your weapons or power-ups stay with you from game to game, so they are something you need to earn or find every game by shooting zombies.
To be honest, that's about all there is to the game. Shoot zombies. Pick up swag. Survive.
For some reason it's extremely addictive, especially when you are playing with high-score kings like Crackerjackmack and one-man-armies like TheDestroyer from the widescreen gaming forum. And yet after a little while, I grew tired of not having anywhere to go or anything to do. You just keep shooting.
As for Eyefinity, the character selection screen is a bit screwy. The characters overlap each other which makes it difficult to see what weapons they have.
Also in game, you can see so far either side that you can see off the map. You can also see zombies before you can shoot them, which results in wasting ammo. However, Eyefinity is a massive advantage because I could still shoot zombies with a sniper rifle before people with single monitors could even see them.
It still didn't stop me from getting the worst score of us all but you get that!
So that's it. It's fun for a cheap bash with mates, but after a while you'll probably be glad it was cheap.
It's worthwhile if you're bored and waiting for a new release to come out, but it's not on my must-play list. I score it a 6 out of 10.
