Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open world Action RPG, where the player controls a Ranger by the name of Talion who has wraith-like abilities. Lords of the Fallen is an action role-playing game, played from a third-person perspective. The game has been compared to video games like Darksiders and Dark Souls. The game is divided into acts with linear progression, though there are several quests during the main acts. During exploration, the game uses many save points to make sure the player doesn't lose too much progress

After Ascaron (developer of Sacred, Sacred 2) went banrkupt in 2009 Deep Silver gave the development of Sacred 3 to Keen Games which had previously mostly made Nintendo or console games.

Sacred 3 is a extremly linear hack and slash game, you cannot change equitment or spells during a game but only afterwards. It has nothing in common with Sacred 2 except the World/character names but it's still fun to play.

This is the first game in an upcoming trilogy of story-driven Action-RPG. Monster hunter extraordinaire Van Helsing wields swords, guns and spells while exchanging sarcastic comments with his ghost ladypet. On the whole the game is strangely reminiscent of the original Dungeon Siege, but maybe that's just because my favorite mule back then was named Katarina.
