Baseline (Widescreen) Solution & Issues
Resolutions are detected in the launcher. Everything scales correctly.
Cutscenes explaining the backstory with artwork have a background image that has a combination of black letterboxing and gold pillarboxing (see additional screenshots).
Ultra/Super-Wide (21:9/32:9) Specific Solution & Issues
Resolutions are detected in the launcher.
The widescreen behaviour noted above applies with some additional, minor flaws:
- FMV cutscenes are stretched from 16:9.
- The main menu background image is aligned to the far left with a black area on the right side where the 16:9 area ends (see additional screenshots).
- The world map screen displays the map aligned to the far right with gameplay visible in the remaining space to the left (see additional screenshots). Other similar views (local map, job board, artwork-based cutscenes, etc.) are centred correctly.
- The top tab area of the inventory menu has a partially stretched background image.
Eyefinity / Surround Specific Solution & Issues
World terrain graphics do not display (some layers may appear temporarily). This issue occurs during exploration, combat, and real-time cutscenes. This behaviour was seen with all tested resolutions (5760x1080, 4800x900, 3072x768).
Other flaws are the same as ultra-widescreen.
