Instructions to remove the black bars:

Hex edit the aspect ratio: Go to --> \oriDE_Data\Managed\Assembly-CSharp.dll in the game folder.
Look for 60 E5 18 40 and change it to 00 00 10 41.
In regedit, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft Studios\Ori And The Blind Forest: Definitive Edition and modify the Screenmanager Resolution Width and Height values to match your display.

Issues: Some background graphics are cut off.
