The Jabo's Direct3D8 plugins from 1.6 and up supports Hor+ widescreen. Other plugins do not have this feature nor do other versions of this plugin.
- Run Project64.
- Go to Options, Settings, Plugins and ensure the video plugin is set to Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6. Click OK to apply your changes.
- Go to Options, Configure Graphics Plugin.
- Set your resolution and other video settings.
- Uncheck Hide Advanced Settings and click Apply.
- Go to the Advanced tab that appeared. If you're using Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5, Go to the Rom settings tab.
- If you're using 1.6, Check Adjust game aspect ratio to match yours. If you're using 1.7.0.57, Check Override aspect while the rom is running.
- Click OK to save your changes.
Widescreen behaviour depends on the game; see below for testing details.

*Please note this list is only to tell you how well widescreen works, not the emulation.*
*Many Games have issues with rending 3D objects on areas where that are no background. 3D elements will leave artifacts in these areas.
----Fix: Well if the whole scene isn't rendered you can simply dial-down the the aspect ratio, the wider the view, the more object that have to be rendered, lessen the viewport and it will be able to support a lower amount of objects on screen.

Note Freezing can occur due to bad emulation, it happens in specific areas.

2D Items line up with the Left Side of the screen.
Text when Talking to others is out of view. Go into windowed Mode with a 4:3 aspect to view text during those times.

Gaunlet Legends -
Besides the fact that this game isn't emulated well at all, everything that gets rendered can be seen on the other screens.
For all intensive purpose, this is unplayable as the ground wont render in any aspect.
Kirby Crystal Shards -
All 2D Objects are stretched.
This includes many on the enemie's Faces.
Mario Kart 64 -
Sky is only rendered on left side of screen.
Your indicator on the map is shifted.
Megaman 64 -
Sky is only partially Rendered.
Part of the map is shifted to the left and stretched.
Mortal Kombat 4 -
Choose Your destiny menu has some artifacts in the extreme left and right sides of the screen.
Rocket Robot on Wheels -
Partial Sky Rendered, Only environment is rendered on the sides, some pop up.
Starfox 64 -
Partial Sky Render, No artifacts.
Try multiplayer in DuelHead Mode. It's Awesome.
Super Marion 64 -
Small Background, Artifacts present.
Super Smash Bros -
background is only rendered in the middle, and leaves artifacts.
