Toshiba Announces 21:9 Ultrawide Ultrabook
At CES (the last two, actually), Vizio announced and showed off their 21:9 ultra-widescreen TVs sporting a native resolution of 2560x1080. Earlier this year they released the 58", with smaller sizes coming later this year. Toshiba has just announced a 14.4" ultrawide ultrabook, with a 1792x768 resolution screen. Unfortunately, what should have been the forte of the design may be a bit lackluster, due to usage of a TN panel. However, it's cool to see another ultrawide unit coming to market. Hopefully we will see more 21:9 support, which will allow gamers who aren't keen on multi-monitor installations to further increase their FOV and immersiveness.
