To avoid a bottle neck, You could upgrade, but since you're using one card, you'll be getting x8 x8 with the two gpus. You should have a problem with you're current pci-e 2.0 setup.
Because the comparison here is honestly:
2.0 x8 x8 Versus 2.0 x16 x16 (same as 3.0 x8 x8).
And if find charts of x8 versus x16, it's not that different.
