Widescreenfixer no longer works, they "patched" the game again.

I emailed Dope Fish (guy who made widescreen fixer) about the MW2 patch update 1.1.195, but he has yet to reply to me. I am sure there are lots of us who need him to update widescreen fixer to work with the latest MW2 MP update. I just want to play... I am so used to 3 monitors and a bigger FOV view with eyefinity.. I cant go back to 1 monitor...

After playing CODMW2 with a 3 monitor Eyefinity setup, it is really hard to go back to a single screen. I certainly hope that Dopefish monitors this forum and the email address he has on his Widescreen Fixer page so that he can try to get an update out for 1.1.195.

I am really disappointed with Steam/IW and whoever is involved with this game for not better supporting widescreen setups like Eyefinity. Certainly, CODMW2 was in development long before ATI/AMD released a developer SDK to the game developers, but there is no excuse for Steam and IW to continue to indicate that the use of applets like the Widescreen fixer or even modifying the config_mp.cfg file to modify the FOV "may" result in a VAC ban. I've sent requests into Activision and IW support about this and they continue to indicate that bans are possible with "modifications" like this. I honestly don't get it. All that I'm asking is that there is a solution so that my 3 screen Eyefinity setup properly displays (with a reasonable aspect ratio so that it does not look squished and rediculous) the resolution that I want to run the game at (in my case, 5040x1050). For them to take the stance of threatening banning due to a config file FOV edit is downright stupid.

Great news! According to a twitter post, looks like Dopefish has heard our desparate cry for help and is working on an updated MW2 module for the widescreen fixer to accommodate 1.1.195.

Mr. Fish has stated he has communicated with VAC folks about his fix, and it's kosher with them, so there shouldn't be a worry of it getting you into trouble. But it's still lame that the poor guy has (well, is nice enough) to make a new version every time they patch the damned thing.

Playing on a single screen again is so weird... I rarely use the other screens for any tactical purposes, but not having them feels like playing through a peep-hole.

There is a new map pack coming out around the corner. I bet it will include a new patch as well. So whenever that is released we will again need a new WSF update... and we haven't even gotten the update for 1.1.195 yet. This doesn't look good. We need to get this working asap. Oh and last i heard from Mr dopefish was 8 days ago. Anyone hear anything from him lately?

There is no need to make the same post 3 times, so lets please try and keep this to a single thread and not 3!
Dopefish has made his comments in the proper thread should anyone wish to follow it, so lets try keep to that 1 thread.
