Let's go waaay back.

Can anyone remember if there are any N64 games with widscreen? I think I remember that Goldeneye and/or San Fransisco Rush had WS support.

Hopefully some WS N64 games (if they exist) will end up on VC

Perfect Dark and I think the Castlevanias supported 16:9.

Nintendo was also ahead of the curve, supporting progressive scan on all early games for the Gamecube. Unfortunately they removed the digital out on later models, the first one being the black and silver models.

Banjo-Tooie
Donkey Kong 64
Jet Force Gemini
Mickey's Speedway USA
Starshot: Space Circus Fever
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil

Many more counting emulators.

I have a black Gamecube with a digital out. It's a shame the production run on GC component cables was so short as they now demand a good $60-$90 on eBay and I'm not willing to spend that kind of money on a cable.

The widescreen games for the 64 may be good games; I'm just not into all those kind of games. Mostly anything that sells to 7 year olds will sell to me, but I do love a good game that allows you to build your own house (Sims series). It does make good sense to make a GC portable with a 16:9, because more than say, about 30 MEGA AWESOME games (that appeal to me) are on the list.

F1 Pole Position 64, FIFA '99, Fighter Destiny 2, Gauntlet Legends are nice games that I remember for N64.

Is there a way to make widescreen mods for emulators? I'm thinking WaveRace and Diddy Kong Racing....

It's already built into the emulator.

Here's an incomplete list of how games work in widescreen and how to get them enabled.
