So I have 2 5870s in CF (1GB) and im kind of jonesing for an upgrade, so i figured id through it out there for comment.
I mainly play BF3 and currently at 3840x1024. Its pretty good i guess but id really like to be able to run some of the eye candy (af, textures other than medium, etc) and ive been drooling over the new GTX670
I currently play with all medium except shadow detail and post proc aa (fxaa)on high. No deferred aa
What im getting at is will a single 670 or similar give me noticably more at this res? ( yes i know its not incredibly high)
Id really love to hear from those who've made an upgrade from a similar card config and esp if youre a bf3 player.
Thanks for your time

Is it too late to return it? Or did you get it strictly for Eyefinity?

Nvidia's newly released GTX 670 bests the 7970 in most benchmarks for a full $150 less.

Not too late to return it, but I did get it for EF. To lessen the sting of not saving the 150$, I did get three free games

if they are games you want you may want to just hold onto it. if not, the new nvidia cards do 3x gaming off a single card, no more sli required.
also the latest release of the drivers addresses some of the issues that have been plaguing triple screen gamers for eons. like locking your windows taskbar to one screen, maximizing things to a single screen instead of all 3, and bezel peeking, which is hitting a hotkey to change from bezel corrected to standard to see whats behind, then hitting a horkey to go back.
not that i have personally used all these, but the driver release sure looks amazing
