I have modified the exe file so I can use widescreen resolutions, bad luck though, ends of showing some of the stuff off screen (i.e. it doesn't fit the screen right). I don't think it is modable

What resolution are you playing in? And did you use powerstrip to get there? I set my desktop to 1776X1000 and load up madden i see the intro then nothing. I have to navigate with my pc monitor hooked upto a transcoder to be able to change resolutions. All that works is 640X480 and sometimes 1024X768 but its in a small box. Using a geforce ti4400 and a toshiba 40H80. I had 1280X960 working once but i dont know what I did because I can not get it back :/

Specifically, how do you edit the exe files to get widescreen resolutions? I can't find out how to do this, and yet the main "stretched game" list says all ea sports games are capable of being edited. So I say again,

It depends on the game, and the version of the game. Some are easy to find with a hex editor, others are encrypted and a pain to work with. There are plenty of free hex editors and tutorials for editing files on the web, so have a look round and try a game yourself. You'll feel really proud when you do.

But remember to back up any files you think about editing first. So you can start again if something goes wrong. :)
