No. With nVidia cards, they must be the same GPU.

I might try it any way. I have some drivers that might make it work.

i dont even understand what you are trying and/or why.
2x 470 in sli and 2x 480 in sli = 4 cards.
lets pretend it works.. which i think is pretty much impossible since sli would only detect one or the other, and the bridges would get in the way unless they were positioned in different spots. but still, lets pretend.

when you run something full screen its only going to use one set anyway, and fullscreen on whatever monitor is on that set. or if its a 3x1 setup it wont let you go into surround mode since you wont be on the same set of cards, it would have to scale across both and it can't do that unless your not in surround mode. you could in theory use 8 screens but if you dragged a 3d app across them it would just use the primary to process everything and the others would just be displays, like when you run two sep cards.

i am not seeing how this would (could) even work, and if it somehow did, where there would be any benefit at all. maybe ify ou had 2x 690s in SLI setup as primary, then used software to stretch whatever across the screens you could get "something" but the gpu memory would konk out running that kind of res anyway..

so.... whats the gameplan here?
