I cant seem to get widescreen video modes functioning properly on World of Warcraft. I've run plenty of game is widescreen before, with and without native support.

My PC is connected to a Sony HS10 via DVI cable. I am using powerstrip to set the resolution to 1368x768. All other "native support" widescreen games recognize this.

WoW gives me the following options:
800x600
1024x768
1280x720 (wide)
1360x768 (wide)
1366x768 (wide)

None of the wide resolutions work properly. They all chop major portions of the screen.

There may be a 1366x768 PS setting for the HS10 that works. I've ried many w/o sucess. ATi's drivers require setting the resoltion in multiples of 8 anyway.
Any ideas?

I'm also interested in this. What I have to done to get the best out of this game is select it to be played in a window and stretch out the window, but the text is still pretty small and hard to read on a projection tv. We still need a better fix though.

I play WoW fine in widescreen mode. Why not use the 1680X1050 res? It is a supported option.

I've tried all of the resolutions and the only way to get everything on the screen to fit is to play in a window and expand it out. Even still, all of the text is too tiny to read. You can increase the font size of the chat text but that's it.

The problem might be that you don't have the correct .inf file for your monitor. I recently purchased a new 2005FPW. As soon as I installed it (analogue right now to my 9800 Pro), WoW came right up with the native 1600x1050 res choice.

Is the Sony HS10 built as a computer monitor, or as an HDTV?

I have the same problem.
I have a 2005FPW, the correct INI and everything.
However, I can't get the resolution over 1280x720.
This is fine, except the text gets fuzzy.
Any help appreciated.

What video card do you have? Are you sure you have the drivers for the 2005FPW installed correctly?

I have a 2005FPW and play WoW as well. 1680x1050 is right there in the resolution option list for me. There is no modifying of the .ini file needed to play WoW in widescreen.

I have an x800 XT PE.
Installing Omega drivers now to check if it works.
And I don't really know of any other way to install the screen than with the included cd.
