For those wondering, the game is available for free in episodic format on
californium.arte.tv (no savegames, french & german versions only at the moment).
The typewriting sequences are not cut-scenes. No biggie... but "stretched cut-scenes" in WS means 4K can't get certified, even though actual cut-scenes are Hor+ and the typewriter is ok in 4K.
Resolution support is actually native: the game will start at whatever res your desktop is set to, and that res will show on top of the hard-coded list, as long as you don't select another one. Then the native res may disappear; but deleting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Darjeeling\Californium will allow for auto-detection again.
Those registry settings are intriguing by the way. There's a bunch of resolution-related entries but none of the values is a simple hex translation of a familiar number. There's also a 'PPREF_SYSTEM_FOV_h967888942' set to '00 00 00 40 33 33 D3 3F' and editing that does nothing at all, even though changes stick.
Only a game inspired by Mr. Dick could make Unity look weirder that it already is.
