Hello everybody, I hav a problem.

I can't play NFSMW in the following resolution : 1680*1050 (i have the belinea 20" WIDE)...

I test the NFSMW Custom Resolution Launcher but I have the same picture with "the program : 1680*1050 resolution" and" without the program + 1024*768 resolution".

check :

With the program, "1680*1050"

and without the program, 1024*768 (changed in the game video setting)
http://vivelelectro.site.voila.fr/ecran/DSCN2231.JPG

there are the same picture, true ??
If it is, how can I do to make my NFSMW work on 1680*1050 résolution ?

thanks a lot.

Hi Taz ...
It is very difficult to tell what is going on from those photographs ... are you sure you have them the correct way round ?

The non widescreen one would be stretched as your first shot is ... which you say is taken with the game running at 1680x1050 ... ?
The second shot looks like it should after using the res changer ... if you look closely the top and bottom are being chopped off and the car looks thinner.
This is normal after using the Res Changer.

Then ... assuming that they are the wrong way round if you use the Camera Hack you can pull back the camera to improve the FOV.
Camera hack here ... http://toca.game-editing.net/files ... in the Need For Speed Tools section about half way down the page ... instructions for use are in the ReadMe file that comes with it.

Also ... if you use Fraps to take screenshots as opposed to taking photographs you will then be able to look at the size of the image screenshot which will tell you the resolution that you are running at.
You can get Fraps here ... http://www.fraps.com/download.php

Also please try not to post screenshots or photos that are too wide ... hence I took out the code for your photos.
Large screenshots make it a pain to read the threads ... you have to scroll left and right to read the posts. It's the same with 'long links'. :)
Here's an example of how to post screenshots ...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Click on the thumbnail to see larger shot ...
4:3

16:10

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The code to use is here ...
Code:
<a href="http://url-of-picture"><img src="url-to-thumbnail-image-or-text-explaining-the-link" alt="" /></a>

Thanks ... :)

I hope this helps ... get back to us if you are still having problems ... :D

okay, many thanks, I'm going to test !

I don't understand how to control "camera hack", so I'm going to make 2 screenshots with my new Belinea widescreen :

-one in 1024*768, resolution which is changed IN THE GAME VIDEO OPTIONS.

-one with the "NFSMW Custom Resolution Launcher", where I changed resolution to 1680*1050.

And we will see the difference, if there is.

Okay, it's my personal view which is bad

The "NFSMW Custom Resolution Launcher" really makes my game work in the good resolution (1680*1050).

It works perfectly, sorry. Look at that :

1024*768 (resolution changed in the game video option)

1680*1050 (changed with the "NFSMW Custom Resolution Launcher")

Sorry, but enven with the code the post sreenshot smaller, my pictures would'nt become small !! How can I do ?

EDIT : AH !!! I think I MUST MAKE a small picture of my screenshot BEFORE, true ??

And after the tumbnail will be in the topic and when someone click on it he will see the real picture, true ?

If yes, how can i make tumbnail of my screenshot ?

Hi there ...

Glad to see you are getting somewhere ... :D
You need to resize the screenshots using a some sort of photo editing software.
I usually make the shots 625 high and the thumbnails 200 or 250 high.

Now for the Camera Hack ...

You need to unzip all contents to any folder you wish ... I usually put them in the game folder.
Then make a shortcut on your desktop to the nfsmwCamHack.exe

Before you launch the game from the Res Changer start up the Camera Hack by double clicking the short cut ... don't do anything with it just leave it running on your desktop.
Now launch the game from the Res changer...
Once you are at the start of a race or in free roam ... make sure the camera view is the close view behind the car (as you have in the screenshots above) ... by pressing the C repeatedly key until you get this view.

Now press the * key on your keyboard to start the Camera Hack ... press the - key on your keyboard repeatedly ... you will see the camera is moving back.
Move it out until the bottom back edge of the car is in line with the centre of the map.
The + key will move the camera in towards the car if you move it too far out.

That's it ...

There are lots of other things you can do with the Camera Hack but you can experiment with those later once you are more familiar with it.

Let me know how you get on ... :D
