For some reason when i loaded the game, it's in widescreen automatically. I didn't do anything. I tried to get the solution at Guru3d, but the link is gone. And i have to d/l the RAR program to get squizzy (spelling)...however, how is it in widescreen without me doing anything? And, by the way, this is everygame i play.

Can it be that the resolution is just stretched to full screen? It's not like with CRT's that when you select a smaller resolution that you get a small image in the center of the screen.

And btw, that solution at Guru3d is WSGF's solution, they just stole it from us.
You can find his patchers here: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8585

It's no problem if it stretches, it's just ugly.

And I forgot that squizzy is redoing his site so I guess he took his patchers offline. I guess you have to wait some time for him to put it up again.

Edit: I found his patch, it's on another page: http://www.squ1zzy.nl/Patches/Rainbow_Six_Vegas.htm
You still can't download it though :(

you can use the originally made .bin file replacements which you can find in [this thread]

Work fine.

Paddy's second post also has a link to Squizzy's res patcher hosted locally at WSGF

From the "Solution" post ...

Instructions in the readme ...

Place the patcher in the folowing folder:
C:Documents and Settings%username%My DocumentsUbisoftR6Vegas
Open the patcher and select the resolution you want and press the 'patch' button.
It will make a copy of the original file before applying the patch.
