Like I said, you must hate it already then because Half-Life 2 is on the Xbox, and Half-Life is on the PS2 and Dreamcast :P.

[quote][quote]goddamnit...why do they ruin everything by making it for consoles....

And this is wrong because?

The downside is that the future titles that are launched for both platforms are often dumbed down to the lowest common denominator (consoles) and leave the PC with often clunky interfaces. (eg. Deus Ex: Invisible War)

Consolitis as it is called.

Depends. I don't know how the console versions of the already released HL2 and Ep1 will be, but I doubt Valve will dumb the future releases to fit the simplistic console controls and whatnot. It seems they are increasing the complexity of the new episodes (I haven't played Ep1 yet btw) and if they make them obviously simpler I don't think it will sell that good. Reviews have a big impact on sales and it will be noticed.

TF2 looks interesting also, I didn't play the first one much but the new art style looks fun, just hope it won't result i a "flat" look in-game.

I don't get where you got "more complex" from. Episode 1 is just a continuation of the HL2 story. Same graphics (well, mostly), same characters, same controls etc. It's just reaaaaalllly short. And who knows what the console ports will be like. It all depends if Valve takes advantage of Microsofts excellent developer tools/XNA platform to port it. It's anyones guess as to what the PS3 version will end up being like.

I read about some new semi scripted physics stuff they were making on IGN so it seems they are advancing the engine. And they probably know better than retardizing the PC game to make room in the console business. Maybe the console versions have less features but who cares HL is to be played on the PC anyway :)

Well, the first one included physics based puzzles and what not as well, so it's not anything new :P.
