Been playing the game all day with the 1.03 beta patch. With shadows on medium I can play the game at 1920x1200 with 4x AA on my 2405. Got a 3007WFP on its way, so it'll be interesting to see how my 1950 XTX chokes all over most games at 2560x1600.

Around 20fps. Sometimes a bit lower, sometimes a bit higher. Sounds horribly low, and it is, but as much as I lay on the space bar to pause and issue orders (since the NPC AI is so lovely) the low frame rate really doesn't bother me that much.

Enabling AA didn't seem to hit performance much at all, either.

With the 1.0 out of the box version i had around 16-19 fps @ 1920x1200 with high shadows. With the latest official patch the perfomance did not improve anything and from what you say with the new beta patch the performance still doesnt improve performance at all or very slightly.
20 fps is not playable imho. its like playing the game in slowmotion all the time. With this game and games like oblivion you dont need 60+ fps but 30 fps should be the minium to have a nice gaming experience imho.
Only thing that worked for me to get to the >30 fps is to change the resolution to 1600x900 or 1280x1024.
In the end i think the engine is just not optimised for SLI setup (at least i hardly see ay performance increasement with SLI enebled instead of dissabled) and i doubt that a patch can change the engine in such a way that SLI is better supported. Guess the engine is just too bulky for today's hardware ;)

I am really interested at seeing the kinds of performance an 8800GTX has with NWN2.

Any of you 8800GTX users have this game?

Be aware that the SLI profile is incorrect by default. You have to switch it to include: nwn2main.exe. Otherwise it does not enable SLI.

Nvidia screws this up more than they should.

I made my own profile and got SLI working. The game engine just doesnt make full use of the capabilities of SLI (as many other games)

There certainly are some issues to contend with. I havent suffered anything to be upset about though. The game has a ton of potential. Something to look forward to.
