If I want to pillarbox a non-widescreen game is it better to achieve it through driver settings or by scaling using monitor settings, if both ways are available?

squ1zzy, I did search and I had already looked at that page. It says that pillarboxing can be achieved via driver settings or by monitor settings but it says nothing about which method produces better results.

If your monitor can do it, use the monitor.

If it can't, use the software.

If neither can, welcome to the world of ATI cards.
