[quote][quote]At the end of the day, buying an OS will be cheapest thing you ever purchase when considered on a price:usage ratio.

This is a good point. (especially when you can get Vista Ultimate for $40)......where?

Sorry. I should have said "especially when I can get Vista Ultimate for $40"

I have a friend that works at Microsoft and he got me a copy at the employee discount rate. Saved me $360.

I probably should have been more clear. Sorry folks.

So does this support Widescreen natively? I am hearing reports it doesnt, and that it breaks the Games for Windows requirements by not supporting it?

It supports it natively... I run it in 1680x1050... I'm pretty sure it's Vert- though, as I posted in the same thread before.

Is it just me, or does the FOV feel zoomed in?

That's what Vert- means... Someone will make an FOV hack... eventually.

Gotcha. Did you notice the lack of a "mouse acceleration" option too? It's driving me crazy and pretty much unplayable IMO.

There is a mouse acceleration option but it's under something weird, not controls I think... game options or something like that. It is there, anyway... mine is almost at max.

I'm absolutely positive... I'll check it out for you tomorrow if you haven't found it yet. Bedtime for me now.

I see mouse sensitivity...which used to be on 3 on Halo 1 w/ my MX518 @ 1600DPI. 1, 3, 9...it's all jacked up in Halo 2. Nothing feels right. :( On top of that, it feels REALLY jerky. Vsync doesn't do much for it either. Lemme also take this moment to bitch about the "GO GOLD!" reminders all over the place in MP. We've had server browsers for almost a decade in PC land...now M$'s gonna try to turn that into a fee? BS.
