Hello.
Could anyone tell me if it is possible to play Halo 2 at 1366x768 (HDTV)resolution?, as I do not want to buy the game if it is not possible.

Thank You.

Same here, I have 8800GTS 640MB, with a Samsung 226BW 22inch, I don't see 1680x1050, I see only

FULL SCREEN
800x600
1024x768
1280x720
1280x960

WINDOW
800x600
1024*768
1152x720
1280x720

That is all, I can't view it in full screen :(

1440x900 is possible to get if you screw around with ArtMoney. The specific memory registers to edit seems to be different each time you run the game though, and it's a bit clunky, but it should be possible for someone with programming skills (I.E. not me) to made a real-time res patcher until Bungie or MS gets the thumb out and creates a proper patch.

In reply to my question ^^, NO you can not play at 1366x768. You have to play in a window at a slightly lower resolution 1280x768 I think. The graphics (textures in particular) show their age and are not that good

Well, since I've been able to play at 1440x900 using ArtMoney I'm guessing that 1366x768 should also be possible this way. I could give it a try and report back.

Hey guys, just letting you know that I created an application to let you use any resolution you want in Halo 2.

It works on Halo 2 Vista and the 2 versions of the XP loader.

I've hosted it on:
http://www.rememberteh.name/halo2resolutionswitcher

Enjoy :D

I can't work out how to make custom resolutions work fullscreen though, they only come up windowed. Still beats having to use a non-proper resolution though :)

Yo, Agret, I hope you read this, or maybe somebody else can help me.

I am so desperately trying to get the Halo 2 resolution switcher to work, but it always give me an error message:

"Component comdlg32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered, a file is missing or incorrect"

I googled for that but i didn't find anything. I re-installed the game I-Don't-know-how-many-times and am still getting this. What does this file do and is there a way to fix this problem?

Thx a lot in advance.

Tested 1920x1080 and 1920x1200, both work fine.

Could not test 1440x900, 1280x800 and 1280x768 and they are not supported natively in the menu. A google search for custom resolution methods offered this:

"add '-vidmode 1440,900' to the shortcut for custom resolutions'"

This did not work for me however, the game loaded up in my desktop resolution instead (1920x1200).

Two years ago, you said 1280x800 and 1280x768 worked. Any idea why they aren't working now?
