Sorry if what i posted wasn't entirely accurate, but i felt that it would be respectful to alert people of the situation, rather than letting them sound off to a brick wall.
With no public contact or statement, how can we know what the future holds for his software?

Its ok. It looked like he actually had gone and people were asking question to someone who had resigned. Fortunately this is not the case.

As for the future of his software, it depends entirely up to him and the community itself. He's doing this without any sorts of compensation for the benifit of the community and its his decition alone if he wants to continue supporting widescreen gamers. If he is shown the respect he deserves, then chances are that he feels its worth supporting us gamers. That again, is entirely up to us how we treat our fellow members. :)

Can we open up a donation pool for dopefish and other developers who make TH2Go patches for games? I would gladly throw in some money there (as I'm sure would others) since I've used at least 5 of those fixes myself now, who knows, it might be enough to afford the next video card or something.

Hey Guys, I too would donate to Dopefish and others that develop a worthwhile tool to support surround gaming.

I have been using widescreen fixer on Cod4 servers (non punkbuster) and would appreciate being able to play on punkbuster ones.

I recall someone posting something from Evenbalance that said there was a bit of code that violated the punkbuster thing and there was a solution between the developer and Evenbalance or something - don't get hopes up, but I believe this fixer may be allowed soon.

Cheers

Rob

Error when using on 1.5 servers:

Vape Punkbuster kicked player 'Vape' [for 0 minutes]
...RESTRICTION: Corrupted File/Memory [81328]

Cheers

You can donate on his whdiescreen fixer site, as I have done.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to make a donation page. :) That might stimulate more people to make solutions for widescreen where the developers fail.

WSGF is a non-profit forum. There is a few sponsors, but if to add things up, Ibrin is actually paying from his own pocket in order for WSGF to exist and have done that from the start. Thanks to him, WSGF is the single largest source of widescreen solutions.

If I'm not mistaken, Paddy have had his hand on most of the solutions for Tripplehead including those found at Matrox's own site.

If you check the download page, you'll see more contributers to widescreen users:
http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php/Downloads

Everyone who contributes here, from insiders to regular members do it for the community, not themselves. Still, a donation page might be nice to have expecially for people like Dopefish. There is also the one for WSGF itself, which are used for the widescreen community itself and goes exlusively for the maintainance of the community.

My ticket was updated from PB. They said to use version 1.32 of the software which is whats stated on the website. Unfortunately this version doesn't appear to support CoD4. PB wont give me any more specifics as to the cause of the error message itself for obvious reasons.

I'll see if I can get an update or another approved version.
