I'm about to give up on Matrox, and sell my second projector, and just go back to good-ole problem-free single screen gaming. The Matrox gear has never fully worked for me. 2880x900 was all I could ever get it to produce. And since Matrox, based on my discussions with their tech support team members, seem fairly blaise' most of the time about our problems. They make gear for gaming but they do not seem to be gamers, so at the end of the day I don't think they really care much about us.
This duration of time without support for my 295's is just ludicrous. I can't even get the 2880x900 that used to work. I keep checking on their site but nothing. Their last driver posting was Dec 19th 2008 for crying out loud.
I'm sure if I used regular monitors it might have worked better. But even if I did it wouldn't work now as they've told me straight up that they do not support the 295 series cards. . I really just don't think they care. Not at all.
I hate giving up. I hate quitting. I really do. Especially with tech gear. And especially after the money I spent on my projectors AFTER Matrox told me over the phone that their TH2Go would indeed work fine with my projectors (I wouldn't have pursued this setup without asking a lot of questions first..unfortunately all they did was say "yes" and not bother to check their own materials). But when the mfr doesn't care then what is the consumer to do?
SoftH2go is just no good. Not for quality frame rate gaming. Someone needs to crack one of the Matrox boxes and come out with community driver support. Maybe then it would really work... but at least it would be supported by people in the gaming community, who care about the gaming community.
