What about something like these?

Note is says that there are some Display ports that won't work with normal adapters.

This isnt an active adapter, that should be required, well who knows lol, btw all this sounds very confusing atm. :hide

I'm sure there is a reason for it ... but it has already been proved that an adapter to the displayport renders on 1 monitor just fine.

Weird

I'm not buying the statement by AMD that a DisplayPort display is required on the third display. It simply does not make any logical sense.

Agreed.

Where was that diagram of the port TMDS transmitter flowchart? Can I find it? Nooooo...

OK, can we go back to basics for a minute. This will take a while... don't get upset if I'm asking things you've already tried. ;) Going right back to basics and covering everything might throw some light on the subject.

One monitor works when on DVI1 or DVI2 or HDMI or DisP, yes?

Two monitors work when on DVI1/DVI2, or DVI1/HDMI or DVI1/DisP or DVI2/HDMI or DVI2/DisP or HDMI/DisP, yes?

Have you tried DVI1/HDMI/DisP or DVI2/HDMI/DisP, yet? You've said you would twice, but I've not seen you report back on those, yet. :( It's probably won't work, or hasn't worked, but...

Guys, he's using an active adapter according to this:

http://www.ramelectronics.net/computer-parts/computer-cables/monitor-cables/displayport-cables/displayport-to-dvi-adapter-dportm2fdvi/prodPTC00004.html

Note: The Displayport video signal is not compatible with DVI or HDMI, but a DisplayPort connector can pass these signals through. With most adapters the Displayport Device must be a multi-mode device that implements both HDMI/DVI and DisplayPort in order to use an adapter and make a working HDMI/DVI connection. These are active adapters that convert the signals, so they should work with any DisplayPort Device!

Make very special note of that last bold sentence. He needs a dual-dvi cable on that adapter for it to send the proper signal to the display.

I'm hoping this is what's going on.

This.
