So I'm going for a 3x2 setup. I have 3 Dell S2309W's and am going to get 3 more (yay ebay).
I have enough now to get 2 out of 3, should I go ahead and buy them now, or wait to get all 3 at once?

Also, to accommodate these monitors I'm buying 2 DP->DVI adapters and 4 DP->VGA adapters from monoprice.

The other thing is that I getting 3 Monoprice Dual Monitor Mounts (1x2). Is the a "All-in-One" solution under $100 for a Hex Setup?

Finally, I'm having to sell my 4870 to get everything, so does anyone know when the "ATI Radeon HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 Edition" Comes out? (They really need to shorten that name to like 5876)

My personal opinion:

- Wait until you can afford it all. Otherwise you'll be spending money on something you may never complete. The future is unknown to us after all. And you won't have to wait to run everything after you buy something.
- Why spend loads of money on the hardware and go cheap on the monitor mounts? I'd say save a bit more and go for some serious gear.
- Don't sell the graphics card until you have a proper replacement. This may require some more money to invest.

Overall, seems like my opinion involves acquiring lots of additional funds before proceeding.

The only issue i see with your plan is that my monitors are no longer in production, and i will be getting a better deal on these if i buy them now and store them. But overall your plan seems good.

Why not just get a huge TV instead? That, and I dont; think any 5870 woiudl be enough to push 6 screens. If you want to game, that is.

Be patient.

Actually i just sold my 32" today. Plus 5760x2160 73" Display is better than anything on the market right now. Also you still get increased FOV in that setup. I'm really not gonna lie, this is gonna be a setup to brag about.

6 monitors, crosshairs on the bezel, no thanks. wait and make sure there is a successful 5+1 solution imo.

I was thinking I might go and do that. Issue is I need to buy mounts still since my monitors stand cant do portrait mode.

i would take 3 lcd monitors over 3 large tvs any day.

if money wasnt an issue, id go with 3 30 inchers.
since that is alot of money, id just stick with the monitors you have.
