Half-Life 2 is an FPS from Valve Software, and was one of the most highly anticipated sequels of all time. You return as Gordon Freeman, the strong and silent-type physicist, and you must do battle with an alien race of enslavers to liberate the surviving remainder of humanity on earth.
Clive Barker's Undying is a horror-themed FPS from Dreamworks and EA Games. The game takes place in an immense haunted estate on the coasts of Ireland in the early 20's. You play as Patrick Galloway, a man with limited supernatural powers who served in WWI, and must investigate a curse that has, one by one, caused every member of the aristocratic family to be driven to madness, and reanimated as a demonic monster upon their untimely death. Groundbreaking horror author Clive Barker was a consultant in the game's plot and background story, and also provided the voice for one of the antagonists.

Project I.G.I.: I'm Going In (released in Europe as simply Project I.G.I.) is a tactical first-person shooter developed by Innerloop Studios and released on December 15, 2000 by Eidos Interactive. It is one of the first computer games to feature realistic weaponry and tactical combat situations.
The Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 is a third person action game with adventure elements, more similar in perspective to Soul Reaver than the first Blood Omen game. The player controls from behind Kain's shoulder and may move him in different directions, attack, jump, use dark gifts, and grab on to ledges. Kain's life energy steadily depletes and must be replenished constantly by drinking blood. Blood is found by consuming any living creature nearby, often requiring defeating an enemy through combat first. As Kain consumes blood, his meter is filled up. Once full, Kain gains additional health.
Dark Reign 2 is an RTS from Pandemic Studios and Activision. The game takes place in the earth's future, where two factions, the JDA and Sprawlers, are fighting a perpetual war that is gradually destroying the earth. Dark Reign 2 features a 3D engine, 2 campaigns, and fairly standard RTS gameplay.
Blood II: The Chosen is a first-person shooter computer game developed by Monolith Productions. Unlike the first installment, Blood, which was set in 1928, it takes place in the year 2028, so in addition to conventional weapons and magical items also incorporates science-fictional technology. Much like its predecessor, the game contains excessive graphic violence and black humor.

The Matrix Online is an MMORPG set in the Matrix universe. The game takes place after the third film. In this continuing future world, Morpheus as died, though the "machines" are not the cause and the truce is still in place.

Eve Online is a video game by CCP Games. It is a player-driven, persistent-world MMORPG set in a science fiction space setting. Characters pilot customizable ships through a galaxy of over 7,500 star systems. Most star systems are connected to one or more other star systems by means of stargates. The star systems can contain moons, planets, stations, wormholes, asteroid belts and complexes.
