Here's what I get :

XP : 5040x1050@60 Hz ok, 1680x1050 = black screen.
Vista : 5040x1050@60Hz unavailable, 1680x1050 ok.
 :?:

I use nvidia driver 191.07 and MVV.inf in both OSes. In Vista I ran the utility, selected Enable Wide-Mode Timings and rebooted multiple times and still can't get 5040@60. What more should I do ? :?

Hi, sorry for reply late. I test the same driver on our lab and some other customers can also get 5040x1050@60 in Vista. Can you try the following:
(1) In vista, please use the display property advanced mode and unselect the "hide mode not supported by monitor" for the display setting.
(2) after Enable Wide-Mode Timings and rebooted can you see 4320x900 mode on the display property?

If there is still problem, please sent mail to [email protected] and I will ask engineer to test and find the solution for you.

1) Done.
2) No, there are no other wide modes to choose from.
So it seems like the wide modes are not added. Multiple reboots, cold boots and freshly reisntalled nvidia driver didn't help.

1.Yes, I read it. And the pdf file. My only user account has administrator rights.
2.Did it, for the third time now. Nothing changes upon reboot, I see none of these resolutions.

What could possibly block the process ? :?

Were you able to run games at 5040x1050 with your setup, the 191.07 drivers and matrox triplehead2go ? Have you tested it before trying the mview ?

Okay, so I did exactly what you wrote. No luck.
I can add modes like 2400x600 no problem, but the New Wide Modes never ever show up.

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64-bit SP2.

Yes, I received your e-mail. Thanks, I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
(The only difference with what I did : install MVV.inf after the update. I always start by installing the driver, as I do with TripleHead. This might very well be my mistake)

Hi scavvenjahh,
Even if your account with administrator privileges, you must follow the above method to install.

Best Regards!
